Mission of CainFiles.com

Welcome to CainFiles.com, a dedicated public repository and informational resource tracking the professional timeline, employment history, and official administrative records of Alexander John Cain within the Knox County Schools (KCS) system.

Alexander Cain’s employment with Knox County Schools spans two distinct eras, transitioning from classified support services to a certified educator: 


1. Support Services & Security (2007 – 2012)

  • Hiring: Employed as a non-certified Security Officer on August 16, 2007, initially assigned to Farragut High School. 
  • Transfers: Transferred to Bearden High School in 2010. 
  • Resignation: Resigned voluntarily in August 2012 to pursue an outside career opportunity. 


2. Career & Technical Education (2013 – Present)

  • Re-hire: Returned to KCS in August 2013 as an Interim Vocational Teacher at Gibbs High School, teaching Vocational Diversified Technology. 
  • Licensure: Advanced to a Professional Occupational Educator License in June 2016 following the completion of required state mentoring and coursework through Lincoln Memorial University. 


Administrative Actions & Disciplinary Timeline


In the interest of public accountability, this repository maintains the verified progressive disciplinary track documented by school administration regarding professional boundaries and social media conduct at Gibbs High School: 


  • April 30, 2019 – Verbal/Administrative Warning: Issued by Gibbs High School administration regarding inappropriate social media comments made about a recent graduate, referencing Board policies on staff-student relationships and civility codes. 
  • February 12, 2020 – Official Written Reprimand: Issued following an investigation into interactions with a current student on an Instagram Live broadcast and subsequent unwanted physical contact (a hug) at school. The action cited violations of Board policies regarding student harassment and social media use. 
  • March 22, 2021 – Administrative Leave: Placed on official Administrative Leave with Pay by the KCS Superintendent, accompanied by the deactivation of system access.
